June 11, Welcome home!
June 10, Pete was true to form today as well. He managed to get into his secret hiding place before I finished unlocking the door. It is impossible to fake him out by locking the door and being very quiet. Walking from the door into the living room gives me away and going from the living room toward the kitchen does the same thing. I suspect the only place that he could be hiding is behind and under the fridge. I was only able the spend a little time talking to him when I left for a few minutes and came back and discovered him under the bed on the first day. He is a beautiful cat and I had hoped that he would allow me to be his friend, however I hope that he appreciated that he was well taken care of in his Mom's absence. He had a clean eating area with fresh food with a line of treats for desert and a fresh litter box every day, and someone who walked around the house looking for him and talking to him.
