June 8, Penny Lane was doing well today. She was in her spot at the living room windows when I arrived, but quickly went under the bed. I did my chores and told her that her food and water were done and waiting her inspection, however she never ventured out. I gave her a scratchie under the bed and lined her treats up just under the bed and talked to her for a while before I left
June 7, Penny Lane continues to be fine. She always finishes her wet food before I get there the next day. Her treats at the edge of the bed are always gone as well. She was in the window watching the birds and observing the neighborhood activities when I arrived today and we had another discussion about my impending visit. However, by the time that I unlocked the back door she had retreated under to bed. I lifted up the bed skirt so that she could observe my activities of preparing her food and water and scooping her litter and then sat in the living room quietly to see if she would reappear. She did not today. On my way out, I gave her a little scratchie under the bed and left her some treats.
